Adahlia

Today I went to pick up the sweet frame my sweet boyfriend ordered me like three months ago, all freshly powder-coated flat black and delicious AND did a little shopping for a new-old car. I love me some station wagons. It has been a good day for transportation.  I got to go on a really lovely, long ride this evening in the town where I grew up, along the dark streets up against the bay with all the thousands of little lights from the refineries and the sugar mill reflecting off  the water and it was pretty rad even though It sucks having really great memories of a place you truly loved and then you come back and see all the ways its changed for the worse. All the big condos and tracked houses, the way that, not only is it hard to find parking now, but they actually give out parking tickets too, how the awesome, creepy old pier I used to hang out under got redone with fancy lights and bathroom and its impossible to be all sly there now. They tore down my favorite scary old house and bottle hill is for sale.  Oh yah, and I got pulled over ON MY BIKE. Cuz I don't have a light. Same small town. Same bored pigs. I guess some things never change.

* Day 27 of temporarily living at home again: mom and I are still trying to kill eachother; good for saving money, bad for morale. She does cook up some badass grilled squash though....
